Accruals under NLCPR
All the Ministries/Departments (except those specifically exempted by Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region) are required to spend 10% of the Gross Budget Support (GBS) from their allocation under Central Sector Schemes and under Centrally Sponsored Schemes for the benefit of North Eastern Region.
The unspent balance of 10% GBS of Non-exempt Central Ministries accrued to the NLCPR is maintained by Ministry of Finance, who have vetted and finalized the accounts up to 2013-14. As per the details received from Ministry of Finance, the balance at close of 2013-14 is Rs.14696.94 crore. The details of the finalized net accruals including the amount released from NLCPR pool from 2007-08 to 2013-14 are as given below. Accounts for the period 2014-15 onward are yet to be finalized by Ministry of Finance.
